Some of the best identified varieties of red wine is the Zinfandel. This variety of red grape is domestic in California and well-known for its fruity savor with touches of smell of raspberry. It grows in warm climate and in bunches. This kind ripens early; nonetheless, irregular pattern in maturing takes place. This is one disadvantage because the harvest will be on a staggered basis instead of a single harvesting for all the fruits. Also, because it grows in a tight bunch, there are cases that it yields to rot. One trait also of this Zinfandel wine is being “hot” in the palate because of its high intoxicating content but it was now gentled by winemakers using new innovations. Zinfandel has this specific characteristic also that retained its terrior or the characteristic that it inherits due to the geographics where it is cultivated and the winemakers own unique style in manufacturing.
