One of the crafts that man excels in is making jewelries. Culture is shaped by different factors and jewelry is connected ethnically. Jewelry is always relates with fashion and through the years, using accessories is man’s great fascination. Wearing jewelries builds self-image. It enhances the character and attracts attention making the owner beautiful. It is actually a status symbol for some. Rich or poor always has a thing with jewelries. For the rich, it shows them their luxurious life and how they can afford buying those things. Getting countless jewelry indicates that one can afford these types of excess and not all can afford to buy this things. A good price tag is always a show of success to many. The design and the brand or maker also contributes on how expensive it is. For the not-so-rich, gaining jewelry is not a need one can have and not even a priority. It is already luxurious to have some and even worth more than the money that is used in buying it in the first place. Not all jewelries are similar, or the price. The higher the quality of the metal, the more expensive it gets. Some are mixed with other metals to lower down the price. Fake jewelries are created, this is where coating is done to make a replica of a genuine item. It is also considered as an art and the older the pieces are, the more valuable it is. Collecting ancient jewelries are a a hobby for some. Academically, it also makes us learn our culture and how ancient cultures lived and survived.
